2022 QRCA Award for Excellence in
Qualitative Research Finalist
I was a finalist for the 2022 Qually Award, the Qualitative Research Consultants Association Award for Excellence in Qualitative Research. There were two finalist teams (including myself), selected from a call for submissions in September 2021.
On January 13, 2022 at the QRCA Virtual Summit, I pitched my qualitative research proposal to the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation, a non-profit organization located in Carlsbad, California.
Background
From the QRCA Qually Award page: "Since 2011, the QRCA has found a way to honor our creative problem solvers with a unique industry award, The QRCA Award for Excellence in Qualitative Research. More affectionately known as the 'Qually' Award, this award recognizes industry innovation and qualitative best practices."

Prompt
To help the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation determine their next Discovery Center exhibit by using qualitative research to understand what areas of the Lagoon experience are missing or need to be modified to ensure engagement and interaction remain high.

As part of my pitch, I was given 20 minutes to present my proposal below and take questions from the audience after.
